Hey, I was just wondering.. Rich told me to stay clear of EP2 trems, saying their crap. Now unfortunately, it seems like EP2s are alot easier to get a hold of, than normal EPs..

Is there a really big difference in the quality of an Edge pro comapred to an Edge pro II?

Yes there will be. But seriously if you are looking for a quality Ibanez trem just look for a used good condition Edge or Lo Pro Edge. There are more of them around which equates to slightly cheaper prices.

Ibanez always throws me off with the "Edge 2 Pro" and the "Edge Pro 2"...

Edge pro 2 is like a 86 ford gremlin covered in bondo sitting on blocks.

Edge pro = new bmw, not the best around but pretty damned good.

Original Edge = Mclaren F-1 ugly as **** outdated, but still runs like a champ with the best of em

How interchangable are they? Can an Edge Pro be swapped to a Lo-Pro? I know this gets asked a lot. What we need is a definitive thread which could maybe be stickied. These kind of questions are asked constantly...

EP II is made by Gotoh's branch in Korea while EP is made by Gotoh in Japan.

The lo-pro = more of the same old good stuff

I personally think it doesnt flutter as well, and im so used to the old school floyd profiles that the newer ones feel weird to me even after extended time periods. But having said that the lo-pro is still super to everything else :P. FLutter is a moot technique anyways most people dont even notice it.
