Question about wiring

Okay. I have a 2000 rg 570 and the volume and tone pots are worn out. The volume knob gets in the way of picking, also. So I'm thinking about wiring it with a single volume knob, and have a mini switch splitting the neck only, to keep it simple.
Anyone who knows more about this topic, please give me some suggestions on what I need for this configuration and wiring diagrams.

Thanks

Re: Question about wiring

You'll need a DPDT mini switch.
As for the wiring, I have to know, what pickups are in there and are you using a 3-way or 5-way switch

Well I only need to split the neck and i would prefer a 3 way switch for simplicity. The pickups are stock v7 s1 v8. I think they are 4 conductor, but I may be wrong.

Re: Question about wiring

Check out Stew Macs Megaswitches. They may have one that will do what you are trying to do without needing an extra mini toggle.
