Question on OFR knockoff - "BH"

Sorry I couldn't find a forum that seemed more appropriate and I always post in here anyway...

Anyhow I gave some kid $20 for a licensed Floyd trem - it is single locking and obviously cheap. The only thing on the bottom of the trem is "BH." Anyone have insight on this?

On the nut it says BH 43, which I am pretty sure is just 43mm...

My thing is, I have an '85 Kramer Focus 3000 that does have the OFR, and I would like to put this thing in it and take the OFR out... IF it will fit

I wouldn't waste $20 on a single locking bridge. I bought one once to temporarily replace a stuffed LO-TRS II and wished that I'd saved my money.

I probably wouldn't either usually, but this kid didn't know wth and he drove really far to meet me, and I thought I might as well take a chance on it fitting for $20. That doesn't hurt me in the least and I think he really needed cash... in any event, I agree with you, and I still feel ahead of the bargain game even if I throw this thing away. But thanks guys!

Re: Question on OFR knockoff - "BH"

It fits! NOW I am stoked. The only part that doesn't work exactly are the posts - the OFR has one-piece posts with a long screw end. This knockoff has a spurred seat for the fine-threaded posts to go into. I can get it in though with minimal work, and the OFR goes into a project TBD. Awesome.

Edit: BTW, the Floyd says Made in Germany, so I assume this is one of the Schaller-made trems?

Re: Question on OFR knockoff - "BH"

Ok, I have one more question, if anyone is still reading this thread... I want a body that I can drop this OFR into, without a big space behind it. Are there any really close fits in the RG bodies? It has to be a rear-loaded body with a humbucker in the bridge... re-routing for studs is fine, I just don't want a bunch of empty space behind the trem... any RG body/model is fine, I don't care... thanks.
