Does anyone know why they have a Fujigen serial?

Re: Question regarding USA Customs

Because the parts were made in Japan and sent to the USA to be customised...

Re: Question regarding USA Customs

The headstock looks right to me.. maybe the fingerboard was replaced, but I doubt it. Im not sure when AANJ came into the picture but my USA Customs are all square heel neck joints.

Re: Question regarding USA Customs

They may switched to AANJ for the run of customs with that kind of logo on the headstock.

This. The only thing custom about them is the ability to mix and match parts and get the guitar built how you like it. The only USAC's actually made in the US would be the American Masters and the USRG's that were sold from '94-'96.

Re: Question regarding USA Customs

Not really produced in U.S. but assembled in Hollywood. Bodies where sent here cut with pockets (tremolo, electronics, neck pocket) but with only bridge pickup cavity) middle and neck cavities were cut in Holywood for whatever pickup configuration was ordered. Mine is a '91 USA Custom Cosmic Swirl. Edge tremolo and AANJ.

Which logo does if have tho? It seems if it's a checkmark logo, then it's square heel and if it's AANJ then it's the big Ibanez logo. My Necro Castle is checkmark & square heel as is the Get Me Out Of Here I got off the 'bay.

Re: Question regarding USA Customs

The square heel/check logo is not a hard and fast rule. I have/had several USAC's that were square/big logo.

Re: Question regarding USA Customs

Yeah, TAo. I was sorry I missed your USA custom mega sale a few months back. I was gonna ask if you had anything left but remember you moved to Hawaii. The shipping would probably make me cry almost as bad as sending the trade to brianxtr in the NL.

Yeah, it's VERY expensive to ship here (well, THERE - I'm in S. Korea right now...). Cut way down on my auction buying, for sure. I've got some stuff left in Oklahoma still, and could probably get it shipped from there. I stored most of the things I kept - only brought about 5 guitars with me. Let me know if you've got any specific requests. The USAC market sucks right now tho, so it's not the best time to sell, because nobody (including myself) wants to pay the prices that were common two years ago, and buyers don't want to let stuff go for what the market will bear, realistically. I let a lot of my stuff go pretty cheap just to move it. I still made some money, but I wasn't making a killing.

Re: Question regarding USA Customs

Yeah, it's really bad now for some guitars right now (My JCustom being proof of that) but others are selling. Got $1000 for a RGT220A and that, my friends, is not bad in this market.
