Quick pic of the next project

Just a rubbish phone picture, but you get the idea. I've just roughly cut the body out so I thought I'd share!! It's mahogany, explorer shaped, 7-string, maple Carvin neck with an ebony board, and I'm gonna get Tim at Bareknuckle pickups to re-wind the single coils to a Sinner bridge and Trilogy suite neck (just about the hottest single coils on the planet). More pics as I get more done!!

If I remember correctly I think it's a gotoh bridge (I bought it a while ago) - it's just like a strat fixed bridge, so each saddles action's adjusted with two little threaded bolts and an allen key.

Re: Quick pic of the next project

For some reason the only real fixed bridge I can tolerate is the Tune-o-matic ones, I don't know why but the Strat or other fixed bridge styles feel to weird

Re: Quick pic of the next project

Please, if you're gonna do a swirl on an Explorer do it something like the new S series Ebony swirl :

Re: Quick pic of the next project

IMO, most swirls don't look good, so to swirl something with a body shape like that would be atrocious...maybe not that far, but still pretty bad

Sorry, I'm just gonna oil and wax it (maybe stain it red first) - I just love oiled guitars.

Finally someone with taste. Swirls are like just adding every spice in the cabinet into your stew. Confusion of flavors and no direction. Sure it has a taste but it ain't a good one.

Re: Quick pic of the next project

. . . . like when you're getting a slushie at Macs and decide for some insane reason to put some of each flavour in. Worst idea ever. (especially when you add in something like sour apple)
