Quick Question

When I had my 7620 detuned it sounded muddy and the strings buzzed because of the gauge I was using(10-56), so I retuned tuned it to drop A tunning(so I could have a little more string tension) and the stings don't buzz anymore but it also sounds 100% better. So I was wondering is it the extra tension thats makes the guitar sound better or do these pickups not handle the extra low end that well?

Quick Question

Its actualy the rate that the strings vibrate that makes the pickups work better. If a string vibrates two slow (because of being to loose with to much slack) or theareticly to tight (if thats possible with out breaking the string) the pickups will not do as good a job picking up the sound. The magnets work by taking in the way the strings vibrate accrose them. If that signal is inconsistant or slopy then thats how it will sound. By bumping up the gage of your string it alows you to get to that tunning but with more tention on the strings therfor making it vibrate more cleanly at the same tuning.

hope that helped
