Rbm10 quality

Hi all

In my search for a RBM1 I found a used RBM10. It is the 1994 model with a low TRS trem system. How are these in terms of quality?

Thanks

Jeff

Re: Rbm10 quality

I've not personally tried one, but I've heard very bad things about the quality of the Lo-TRS. I think its made from quite soft metal, so is prone to quick wear and tear as well as general build quality issues.

Lo-TRS was much better than Lo-TRS II. I have found the RBM models to be neck heavy due to the cut out on the body. The only ones that are not neck heavy have a heaver wood for the body like the koa ones I believe.

I'm not a heavy trem user so I might be okay? In the worst case, I can directly swap out with an original floyd rose?

Re: Rbm10 quality

As far as I know (from looking at the Lo-TRS dimensions), it can be replaced by a Floyd Rose (or a licensed Floyd) tremolo.

This thread also suggests the same, that the Lo-TRS cavity will take pretty much any Floyd:

Wait for an RBM1. They come up from time to time. Just be patient.

Yeah I'm just impatient LOL. Didn't you sell/buy one recently?

Re: Rbm10 quality

Yeah a little while ago. It was in really nice shape overall but it needed some fret work.
