You'll have to set it up for regular tuning as it's tuned in C but it's no big deal...

They are great guitars.....

Jackson DK2M...pick a color

SD JB and JAZZ. The licensed trem holds up well on the new DK2M's

Plus the route will accommodate a OFR without modification. It's inexpensive too. This is one of my least expensive favorite guitars... even if mine is black.

Sorry for the crappy pic.

That looks good but I don't want to deal with Jackson again

Troubled times with them

Although I am trying to find that caparison

Re: Recommend me a non-Ibanez guitar

How about a Gibson M3?
They have H-S-H pickups (with very cool wiring, you basically get both Les Paul-like H-H wiring and a Strat-like S-S-S wiring), set neck, 24 frets, Schaller Floyd Rose tremolo, and maple fretboard.
Plus, they're quite rare, so everyone will think you're really cool
I had a transparent amber one, which sustained more than my Les Paul... just insane amounts of tone and sustain.

Re: Recommend me a non-Ibanez guitar

They aren't all that pricey. Never were.
List price was $899 back in the day.
You can get them for about $800-$1200 these days (basically exactly in your ~900e pricerange), depending on their state and your luck. It's a steal really
And they're made in Nashville, but does that really matter?
As for style, I guess it's a Superstrat style just like the Jackson and Caparison here?

Could you give me some info on where to purchase one?

Have these been released yet?

I haven't seen them on their official site

Re: Recommend me a non-Ibanez guitar

They are available aready.. I've seen this one on the Ikebbe Gakki website...

However, many Japanese distributors do not ship Caparison anymore outside Japan.... But if you search, maybe you'll find one that still do so...

No neck through.. and the price is around 1'550 $.. then you'll have to add shipping and taxes..

Hope it helps..

Re: Recommend me a non-Ibanez guitar

I got this for $400, and it smokes anything I have except for a few of the rare and more high end Ibby's, and it retailed back in 88 or 89 for about $1200

Re: Recommend me a non-Ibanez guitar

Wow a Zion Frosted Marble!!!

I always wanted a Zion back in the day. I particularly liked their Picasso series basically the same guitar with a picasso-esque graphic finish

Re: Recommend me a non-Ibanez guitar

Yeah, a mate of mine has an old Zion from back in the 80's. It's been played to death but it still plays and sounds awesome. I'd love to find one still. That one looks like a great example too.

Re: Recommend me a non-Ibanez guitar

The neck joint on that zion looks a bit dodgy

But that guitar is no where close to what I am looking for

Still looking for that sweet caparison
