not measured the new ones, but surely they did NOT feel 2mm thicker. i'm probably wrong but as the most people here, i can feel when a neck is even 1 mm thicker than a Wizard, even more when it's 2mm thicker.

also, don't care what i do feel, just care about what Ibanez is stating. have you read the tech specs in my last post? what about?

Re: Recommendations on PGM Models?

I have a JS1000, RG1570 and a PGM301. The necks on the PGM and RG are very different. The PGM is narrower overall and a bit thicker - more strat-like than the RG. But I'm a small person and find it a bit easier to play then the RG. However, the JS is my favorite all around neck. THE PGM with the Dimarzio's is just too bright and biting. I have to re-EQ my rig just for that guitar, whereas I let the differences in my other guitars dictate the sound with the same EQ settings for all.
Note: I upgraded the RG's pups with Dimarzios - Breed and Air Norton. Love it's tones. Rarely use the middle pup on either the PGM or RG.
