Recreation of "Blackie"

Check this out~

Authentically recreated, complete with all dings, dents, cig-burns and worn to the wood body! This thing looks torn to hell

I'm just curious........how many would be interested in buying something like this?? I know I wouldn't. I like my guitars mint! And I like to play my guitars and not let them just sit in a case. But I realize that an avid collector may have a different viewpoint. Also, I've never been that big of a fan of Clapton, though I do have immense respect for the man so that may have some bearing. Though....I wouldn't buy and authentic to a tee EVO either

Re: Recreation of "Blackie"

that is awesome, but his psychedelic SG would be even cooler.

$20K? - takes a lot of someone's time to bang up a guitar that much y'know!

BTW, I don't understand either - I mean, if you like Clapton that much, sure, get a black Clapton sig Strat, but a replica right down to the last nick and ding is somehow or other ....... disturbing, in terms of what it says about the puchaser's mental motivation ..........

I guess im disturbed cuz im paying good money presently
to have someone custom build me from scratch EVH's
5150 guitar...down to the cigarette burns..worn out places..
its gonna look a mess..but it should be almost identical.

I wouldnt have it any other way.
I already have the wall stand up to display it when it comes.

Re: Recreation of "Blackie"

I will be going down to GC Wed to play the one they have. I know a bit of the 20k price goes to Clapton's charity, but I am not in the market for a 20k guitar.
