Repainting an RG

I have a really beat up RG5EX1 I bought on sale and intend to refinish/repaint as a project. I'd like to know if there are there any other RG guitars I see as a visual reference with zebra pickups(not stock obviously), grey headstock, matte grey hardware, and no pickguard. I've been thinking about desert yellow, or mirage purple to green, or even teal. If not, what colors do you recommend would go well?

Here's the things I'm working around to visually acomodate.
-Powder cosmo hardware
-Zebra black/cream pickups
-No pickguard
-Gray reversed headstock (could be painted though)

Re: Repainting an RG

Trans White over a flamed maple veneer, burst to solid bright white sides and back with a matching headstock......

That would be really nice.

something like this:

Re: Repainting an RG

Wow, that does look nice! I'm saving that screenshot for future builds. Buying bookmarked maple is a bit over my budget though, for now. I've been thinking, would any RG pickguard fit my guitar? Since it doesn't have a pickguard, I could just prefit any RG pickguard and drill the holes to best fit. (E.g. RG350, RG550, JEM)
