Also curious as to what color you used. I would eventually like to refinish my 540 due to discoloration.

Im not color BLIND (not sure if thats what you meant), my eyes have a tough time discerning different shades (blues vs purples are tough for me ), and my eyes naturally focus in on green over white or yellow. They have this 3 color test, white/green/red and I could never pass the white/green part . I also fail miserably on dot tests lol.

ANYWAY, OP -> are you doing a DY clone? What type of neck you using?

Re: repainting RG570 project pic

Trying to go with something close to dy. I once played a jem dy back in like 1987 and I really liked it. I think this will be my 80's guitar. I already bought the pink and green dinarzio's, and pink knobs. I also bought a black and green pickguard. This guitar was a rg570. I have the original wizard neck. And the cracks at the nut jace been repaired. I also bought a brass sustain block. After the body paint it will be sent to my wides grandfather for some custom artwork and I am looking at a custom neckplate. I will be having the wiring done a little differently to make it even more versatile. I am anxious to complete it but I am not going to rush it. It is also a tribute to my little brother who passed this past august.

Re: repainting RG570 project pic

Sounds like it's going to be a great looking guitar when you are done and will mean something very special to you, since it's a tribute to your brother (sorry to hear that he passed). How old was he?

Any updates on the guitar?

You can PM or answer on here but what did you do to remove the original paint and how did you get the body ready for the new paint?
