Reverend Kingbolt Prototype

Here's some close-ups of the Orange-Pearl Kingbolt Prototype I mentioned in a previous thread.

New features for this guitar:
- Uncovered Zebra Reverend Humbuckers
- No Pickguard
- Forearm Contour, bound
- Six Bolt Neck Plate - the middle 2 are pickguard screws, to hold the plate in place if you remove the neck for maintenance, etc.
- It has the Reverend Body shape of the last sixteen years, just slightly longer and narrower. The abscence of the pickguard gives it a completely different vibe.

When we go into production on this model, the Orange is going to be darker - more of a burnt orange with a rosewood board. I like this color, but in person it came off as kind of "creamsicle" looking, which isn't really the vibe of this model. Enjoy!

Absolutely!!!

In my view (and bear in mind that this is an Ibanez JEM forum ) the only way that a rosewood board would work is if you painted the heastock to match the body!

I would however like to see the pick rings matching the rest of the hardware in colour!

It is perfect as in the pics posted.. agreed.. wouldn't change a thing. The maple board helps the orange pop.

Re: Reverend Kingbolt Prototype

Well OK then. I think I'll keep it around. It'll kick off as seen above in the second round of colors by Summer NAMM.

Is there any chance of arranging a review on one?

Re: Reverend Kingbolt Prototype

There is. Maybe we could arrange to get you one through my Aussie distributor. He won't see the new product for a couple of months.

Re: Reverend Kingbolt Prototype

That's all good thank you. I've got a bit on my plate right now anyway, so a couple of months is fine. Got your PM, I'll send you an email later today when I have a chance.
