Review of McCarty Hollowbody PRS?

Has anyone played these? I'm looking into one, I'm looking for thick beefy, full tone. Are the piezos decent? Any help would be very appreciated (specifically on the new models). Thanks!

I used to have a PRS HBII w piezo. (I traded it for a DNA)

IMHO, it is a great guitar, and the piezo is a must. My favorite tones came from mixing the piezo and magnetic pickups. When I would sit close to my Mesa combo...that baby would just howl (in a good way)...almost like having a sustainer. The piezo through my PA setup could get some very nice acoustic tones. I feel it is a very versitile instrument. I only got rid of it because I had a 7 string hollowbody w piezo built, so the PRS became a bit redundant in my guitar lineup...so when swirl GAS hit yet again...I had to satisfy it If you get a chance, go to a store and try one out.....I really miss mine.

FWIW- it had a very nice mellow tone when played unplugged, and a very wide range of tonal options when plugged in.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask

Sweet, thanks! I can't find one in any of the stores around me (MA or CT) so it's a bit frustrating, but I do trust all you guys' and gals' opinions.

I played a blue quilted one at East Coast Music in New Milford, CT. They've got 3 on the wall. Suprisingly light in weight and it sounded nice through a THD head/cab setup. Sweet neck.
Big bucks.

Good luck...check out Matt- he's got a good rep and besides, he's one of us.
