Is the RG 1570 a good guitar???

Yup. You may want to replace the pickups though, seeing as they're nothing to write home about.

The RG1570 is a very good guitar for the price....although for a little bit more you could get a RG2570.

i had a '05 for a few months. i was very impressed with it. i only sold mine because i got a great offer on it, and i am shallow.

pickups? that's a personal thing. most people want to change them because they aren't dimarzios.

the finish was kinda cool but very hard to photograph well.

I'm very happy with my RG1570L. I got it from Rich so it's had the full treatment and Evolutions and an HS2 wired single have replaced the stock pickups (also done by Rich, he's a really good guy to deal with). I love it.
