Rg 1570 doesn't stay in tune

Hey, rockers,

I am new here, hope to be a part of ibanez community

I have a rg 2008 rg 1570 and it doesn't stay in tune after floyd rose dive. I've tried everything except FR replacement. It's not the springs and it's not the floyd rose's "cutlery". The interesting part is, after some dive down, tune goes down, and after some "up" tremolo, tune goes back to normal. Anyone familiar with this problem?

Completely normal with a double locking floating bridge that is not set up correctly. Check out the tech section at Ibanezrules.com (banner at top of page), read up on the setting up the bridge.

Chap stick on the knife edges may be all you need but read through the tech section, its a wealth of information.

Also check the little things. Are the screws on the locking nut tight enough? Play a note on an open string and then push down on the string behind the nut. If it affects the pitch of the note, the locking nut isn't tight enough.

But yeah, the ibanezrules site should give you all the help you need.

Re: Rg 1570 doesn't stay in tune

I was having a similar problem with my 1570 where I would pull up and all the strings would go sharp, but if I didn't a divebomb after they would go back into tune. Putting chapstick on the posts and knife edges seems to have fixed the problem. I also tightened up the screws that attach the nut to neck because they were slightly loose.

Re: Rg 1570 doesn't stay in tune

Another thing to check is that the locking nut is actually on tightly. I've found that the locking nut (the whole nut) got loose. Quick tighten up of the screws in the back of the neck (for the nut), and all was fixed.

Also check the allen screws that hold down the saddles.I had a jem that was going slightly out of tune with heavy bar use.One of the saddles was not completely tight.

Hello, Ibanez lovers. Ibanezrules.com seemed to be very useful site. It took half an hour to set up FR and now tuning stability is great. Thanks for all your help!
