RG 1880 BGS vs RG6-CST

Hi !

I've got a RG1880 RGS (J-Custom 1999, Tone Zone, Blue Velvet, Air Norton, mahogany body with flamed maple top)

I'm proposed a RG6-CST (same year, but ebony fretboard, ash top, natural finish, Tone + Paf pro and Piezzo system)

These guitars are too similar and to expensive for me to have both ones...

Which one would you choose ?
Why ?

Tough one, but it all comes down to personal preferences.
I'd get the 1880 for the HSH-Config. Plus, I don't like ebony fretboards, but that's just a cosmetical issue for me. But if you already have enough "normal" guitars, you should get the RG6 for the piezo.

Brent told me his former RG6CST was his favorite between the two ones...

So 1 for the 1880, one for the RG6CST...

I have another ebony fretboard guitar (Burns Brian May) and a maple one (50's strat reissue)...
Maybe would it be good to keep a rosewood one

Any other advice ?

I've had an RG6CST, and similar guitars to the 1880...the RG6 seemed to have a brighter, more lively tone than mahogany/maple RGs...perhaps some of that is due to the satin finish. Cosmetically, I prefer a flamed maple top, but love that clean ebony board. Do you want/need peizos? I'd say that might be the deciding factor.

Acutally I d'ont need a piezzo, because I dont' play live and I don't play pieces that need a changein the middle beetween electric and acoustic sound...

I think I'm gonna keep my 1880 (the other one is too expensive for me...)
