RG 2077XL, pickups?

I have one and i happen to like the pickups. I know they're Dimarzio Customs. Anyone know, after which pickups they're modelled after?

Re: RG 2077XL, pickups?

I think the bridge model is based on the Dimarzio Blaze bridge, but with a bit more treble and power. The neck model is either the AN7 or Blaze Neck, havn't heard much about the neck model so im not sure which one of those its closest to sorry. And the single coil i would assume would be very similar to the blaze middle. How long have you had the RG2077XL and how do you like it? I was trying to purchase an RG1077XL myself but just couldn't find many and ended up going with the RG1527 instead. The guitar is a complete work of art, everything works great apart from the pickups which are horrible. Put it this way, how do you spell mud?

The guitar is AMAZING, plays like a dream. About the only thing i dislike about it is its inability to tune to standard which i rectified by adding more springs to the back. Aside from that itll be the 27inch neck which has its pros and cons. Pro being it has amazing clarity and sustain, ive tuned down to an F and it still holds down well but the downside is that at times i find myself doing strange holdsworth chords that require me to stretch through 6 frets, it thus becomes a bit of an impossibility.

I picked up a 2077xl last summer and it was a dream come true. Amazing guitars...truly amazing, although I put an AN7 and evo7 in it.

I can understand why you'd miss it. I've already had people ask me if I want to sell it. I kind of feel bad in a way...but rest assured, it's being taken care of very well.

Small world I guess Adam, I sold because I wanted money for a new toy but I kind of wish I hadn't. Live and learn.
