RG 2550e

Hello

New to the forum and to Ibanez guitars in general. There's so many models out there it's a real pain trying to figure out which is which and what does what.

Anyway I was wondering about the price of the RG2250e. I've found one not too far from me in mint condition for 700 bucks. Is that a fair price for this guitar? Also would like to here some opinions on this guitar. I like to play metal and instrumental rock. Would this be a good guitar?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'd say that's a great price for it. I have one and like it very much.

Re: RG 2550e

this guitar is awesome. It is basically a 550 with the prestige finish and edge pro bridge, and also dimarzio pick ups. Ibanez necks the best for metal and shredding.

whoops forgot to mention that that is a great price!

Re: RG 2550e

The RG2550E is my very first Prestige instrument, and I am very happy with it. A few modifications to suit your tastes and you probably won't need another performing guitar for a long time afterward (except if you wanted to get another one, of course).

Re: RG 2550e

It is a great guitar. When I took up lessons (again) last year, my teacher just bought a new JEM 7VWH. So I got to play that one and I wanted one as well. However lacking the cash, I went to several shops and played a lot of guitars. Finally I narrowed it down to 2 models that I really liked: the S670 and the RG2550. However just before I decided to buy the RG2550, I came across a used JEM 777VBK which I bought. However I am still convinced that the RG2550 is a great guitar! Good luck with your decision.
