Oh my gosh, this is an awesome find!
I am going to Bangkok next week. *Just emailed them for address and direction. *I wonder if they have any other J-customs besides the RG-ART. *A S540Japan would be really nice!!

It seems they put Frank's picture in the JS section. *Whoops!

Niczer, You can always change out the pickups. *IMHO the RG3120 visually more pleasing than the JPM-4. *Plus the matt finish on the JPM-4 is easy to get scratched and scarfed. *Unless you want to collect JPM models, I'll go with the 3120.

Some cool guitars there...the ash Paul Gilbert, and a 3120 in VV...nice.

The difference in tone between the 3120 and JPM are not just the pups but the body wood (s). *The JPM would most likely be worth more in the long run, but I'm a big fan of flame/quilt tops, so I'd probably lean that way (3120).

Another factor is the neck...try both. *The JPM will be a bit fatter. *That may help you decide. *All the best...you couldn't go wrong with either.

I'd be curious to know how much $$ these are going for out there.

The price for both of this around 40,000Baht(less than a 1,000 Dollars(u.s.)
I saw a very tempting AAAA grade top on the Artist in the butter stotch color.....I said wow....
I saw the rg-6 cst with the X-Bridge price around 47,000 baht(The currentcy:THai baht :U.S. dollar=45.5 baht to 1 dollar).
I'll be back to U.S. in next 2 weeks.
I think I'm gonna make a decision soon.

By the way....My new favour is the Parker Nite Fly....which my thai friend let me to borrow it for a few hours......very stange...there're no Piezo P.U.
But it's very make me *feel good.
Maybe I'm gonna buy a rg-art to sell it in U.S. and buy a new Parker .....(just kidding)

I'll take an RG-ART with a side order of a RG-Metal please.

I think the differences between the 3120 and JPM are plentiful, although with pickup swaps you might be able to achieve the sound you want anyhow. *Isn't the 3120 going to be a bit brighter with the maple top? *I dig the maple tops on those, but love the JPM necks and knob/switch placement.

I'd get the RG ART over the P4, but then again I already have a JPM and they're basically all the same except for the 90HAM. *Even though it's almost blasphemy to say it, I think I'd take the RG ART over the 90 HAM! *I want my maple, what can I say...

I have both a 3120 and a JPM (or two...).

If I could only have one guitar, I'd keep the 3120. I prefer it's slightly thinner neck to the JPM neck, and the extra pickup positions really do come in handy. And, as much as I love the picasso graphic on the JPM, the 3120 really is a much classier looking axe.

For the record, I actually like the sound/playability of the 3120 better than my RG-ART, but don't tell anybody.
