Hey guys, i have an Ibanez RG350dx (blocked trem) and the action of the strings is too high, when i tried to lower the bridge i had freezes when i bend the 22-24th frets. The notes also goes out of tune as i progress in the neck but i tried to fix the harmonics thing (12th frets harmonics are similar to the fretted note)
Hi mate, i have exact same axe .If they are set up right and looked after they should play sweet.
What do you mean by blocked trem?,mine has an edge 3.
You can adjust trem hight for action but while doin this make sure you slacken the strings as it can damage the knife edges, but also you need to balance your string tension with the springs in the rear as they work against each other and the trem should be level with the body. Not being pulled up or down.
Your truss rod may need adjusting too as this can cause fret buzz and give you low action up near head stock and high action at higher frets.
You get all these things working together and it should be good.
Mines a 2009,never abused and looked after and i only did all this on mine 2 weeks ago as i changed gauge of strings, polished the frets and oiled up the rose wood and she plays like a dream.
Is the trem in good condition? hope this helps you,...cheers
