This is at the same place I picked up my candy apple 550. Anyone think it's worth it to go for this one? Looks to be in better shape than my 550, and its PURPLE

Ugh, proves that place doesn't know their Ibanez... Calling it a 570... I like it, looks really nice. Maybe I'll go down sunday and play it.

Well I just got my 550CA, and I got new pups coming for it so first I'll deal with my 550, then maybe get this 560.

Re: This rg 570

I would buy that in a second if I was in that shop. I love neck humbucker RG's but I really want a Grape Ice RG560 to have a single coil neck guitar. Gorgeous looking guitar. Personally I think that price is a bargain!

Definitely give it a spin bro.

Does anyone know if early nineties RG & Jem models are generally cheaper in Japan than anywhere else?

Interesting. There was a Jemsite member here back in the day called FettsNextBounty who owned a grape ice RG560 - and he lived in Nagoya.
Great pick all the same. Snatch her up if it's in good condition.

Actually JEMs are expensive here. Decent condition JEMs still cost over 1500 USD, sometimes even over 2k if they are near mint. Late 80s/early 90s RGs are cheap as heck over here (same with sabers). My candle apple 550, even in its current condition would still fetch around 600 USD (whereas mine only cost 400).

I've seen old Destroyer IIs only going for about 400, maybe 450 at most expensive. Vintage Ibanez isn't popular here because everyone is too busy looking at ESP's (people who play anything that even resembles heavy metal) or Fender strats.

Right on man, thanks for the inside scoop. I'm hoping to pick up some Ibanez bargains the next time I get to Japan. I hope the market there doesn't change it's mind in the next few years!!

If you come to Japan and make it to nagoya, there's a really nice Red S540 for 400 USD here

EDIT:

I'm not selling anything, the guitar is at a shop here.

Re: This rg 570

My first Ibanez was a violet purple RG560. I think it was an '88, maybe '89. That thing rocked! I walked into the store and saw it hanging on the wall. As soon as I tried it out I knew I had to have it. I traded a Les Paul Standard for it, new, the case, a delay pedal, a strap, a cord, some strings and picks. ^ ^

Tomorrow I'm going to go look at that 560 and see what year it is and try it.

That grape ice color is perfect. I really wish this was a USA sale.
