RG 570 Input Jack Question

I bought a RG 570 body from one of the vendors above. The body came without an input jack. The seller told me it had a Jackplate and a Jack. I need to know which jack was in there or which one fits in there.

Thanks

Re: RG 570 Input Jack Question

No jackplate if its a 570. It should be a barrel jack, flush with the body...

Re: RG 570 Input Jack Question

how does the other side (back) of the guitar looks? Is there a plate covering a hole for access to the jack ? Mine has none.

Re: RG 570 Input Jack Question

Yes, there should be an extra plate covering the jack cavity. It seems your's is not a 570.

Re: RG 570 Input Jack Question

what is it than ?

RG Style Body. Square Neck Joint. HSH, it appeares it had pickup mounting rings . Routed in the back, 2 openings one for the trem springs, one for electronics. Seller claims it had a jackplate.

Any ideas ?

???

5xx series had no jackplate. they used a barrel jack accessed from the rear of the body via a dedicated cavity with a total of 3 cavities. 4xx series had a jackplate on the underside of the body with a total of 2 cavities.

Re: RG 570 Input Jack Question

I know that, Its just easyier like i said to route it the same for everything BUT the output jack route because it is more involved to route it the proper way for a 550-70 than just bore the hole for the good ole fashioned metal jackplate
