Re: rg 7321 question

I think it's quite good for 7-string noob. Tuning holds nicely with the hardtail bridge and neck feels comfy for atleast my hands.. But the pups are weak, as you would expect for such a budget guitar, and the few ones that I have handled haven't been anything special. The bodies on the ones I have tried didn't resonate at all and acoustic sound was very very weak, but then again, it's not too expensive guitar.

But other than that, go ahead, buy it.. I think you won't regret it as it's your first (?) sevenstringer. Great bang for the buck, especially if you buy it second hand and the pups have been changed already.

Re: rg 7321 question

Go for it! It was my first 7! It's very reliable, I've put mine through a lot with no problems. Just try one out and see how you like it.

Re: rg 7321 question

yup froststorm, it would be my first 7 stringer actually.
And as you were saying, I was just thinking to buy it second hand if I find it and put some aftermarket pups to it, but maybe not just after buying, just a teenager and my parents arent rich xD
Anyway, which pups, hopely not so expensive, would be good to put in it? (I would play mostly dream theater with that guitar, cuz tallica doesnt actually have 7-string songs haha shame, so mostly prog metal and a bit of other 7 string songs)
thx again

Re: rg 7321 question

You could probably find a used 7621/7620/7421/7420 for the same price or less than a new 7321. Those are much nicer guitars.

Re: rg 7321 question

The 7621 and 7421 are the same guitar with different pickups, the 7421 being has the cheaper pickups. I bought my 7421 for $275 a few months back, and just say a mint one on Craigslist for $325. They are both fixed bridge guitars

The 7620 and 7420 are the same guitars as the 21s, but they have floating trems. The 7620 has a better bridge and pickups than the 7420.

Re: rg 7321 question

I have one that I got used on craigslist for around $200. It is a decent guitar and gets the job done. I might swap out the pups but overall it is pretty good. The neck feels comfy.
