rg 750 not fit for original edge

I was given the husk of an RG750 in November. Over time , I collected all the missing parts including tuners, original edge, tremolo arm, posts, neck plate, etc. etc. I finally put it all together and the original edge block sticks beyond the body by 3/16" or so... enough that I surely cannot put the cover plate on. Was the tremolo block for the 750 different than the tremelo block for the 770? Is grinding the block to suit a reasonable solution?

Once you have 10 posts, would you mind post to a few pics of the body, bridge and block?

What year is it? Does it say Ibanez Edge on the tremblock? could be you ended up with some other block, brass or another size then the original?

There are 3 size blocks, you obviously have one that's too long. Buy an HS block and be done with it.

Yep, got the larger block. Seriously, leave it on, and keep the cavity cover off. More mass will give you better sustain and tone.
