RG 760 FM Info Please

Hello, first post so please be patient with me. I will be the first to admit that I do not know anything about Ibanez guitars, well I know a wee bit from hanging out at ss.org, but my knowledge of Ibanez guitars is very limited. So what can you guys tell me about the Ibanez RG 760 FM. From the guide on the main page, I understand it to be manufactured in 2002, and although I thought it was a J Custom, it appears to belong to the Prestige line (sounds nice).
How does one verify this information, I mean the model number of the guitar?

From my readings the rg 760 Model began life in 1988 and then discontinued in 1992. Although i could be very wrong could we see some pics?

Hmm why does it say 2002?Unfortunately I cannot post the link, but on the J-Custom Guitars Overview page, it lists the RG760FM as a Prestige 2002

Re: RG 760 FM Info Please

Now I am even more confused. Unfortunately I cannot post links. The guitar has a black flame maple top, with, what I have been told a Lo-pro Edge

- Gotho tuning keys

- Wizard 1 neck with white Bound & Mother of Pearl offset Dots !!

- AAA flamed maple top body and matching flamed maple headstock

Re: RG 760 FM Info Please

IIRC these were a Japan only model that had a photoflame veneer on top of a basswood body. If I am not mistaken these also had pickguards. Cool guitars, but only aesthetically different than any other RG760 and nowhere near the J Custom series.

yes, i believe the model you refer to is RG 760 for some store exclusive model or japan domestic market, that only sold in japan of course.
The neck is ultra shape, NOT wizard 1 or else, bound rosewood board, offset dot inlay, with same finished headstock ( flame maple veneer).
the pickups are Ibanez Quantum Humbucker, and 2x Qm singles.
Lo Pro edge trem in powder cosmo.
Clear pickguard

I used to have RG770Fm with same specs like this, only 770FM has no pickguard and HSH config.

Thanks. I will contact the dude selling it and correct him. I'm wondering if the guitar is worth 750?

Re: RG 760 FM Info Please

I sold my 770FM with near mint condition for not more than 600 at that time.

Re: RG 760 FM Info Please

Thanks for the pics. The guitar is a 760FM, and is sweet! That price is on the high side, and those pickups are NOT a $500 upgrade! I'd not spend a penny over $625 for it. The white powder hardware is always nice.
