Man, that Diablo swirl is schweet. After picking my jaw up off of the floor, it occured to me that it looked a lot like the cover of a Metallica album. Since "Load" and "Reload" are taken, how about "Unload"?

"Hoload"? lmao

Congrats on the sweet guitars David. Sorry I won't be there to see them this year. Maybe next year.

Cool guitar, David. *Looks like an ebony fretboard? *I like the limited dot inlays. *Kinda classy. *

Well gang, I got to see Davidís RG-Gold in person at Jemfest. Got to touch it too. As I expected it to look better than the photos, I wasnít surprised when it did.

The main thing I noticed that didnít show up well in the photos was the grain on the body. It is as though the gold coating is pressed firmly into every groove. The grain is very evident and rather interesting. It can not be felt because of the clear coat, but it looks really cool. I found the headstock to be a lot more beautiful than expected too.

Very nice axe David. I missed the shoes though.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. *We still have not figured out what type of wood is underneath the gold foils. :glare:

Any idea, Glen?

Haven't played my RG-GOLD1 for a while... still love that sound coming from that Ash body. I decided to update this original post with pictures.

Agreed. All the J Custom Golds I've see have the standard J Custom Ibanez logo, ie no tick under the logo and smaller 'Ibanez' too. This guitar appears to have a unique logo compared to the rest of the RG Golds. Pretty cool!!

Re: RG-GOLD - Shinny glittering gold

Nice axe! great follow up, shes a beauty!! I love the old J-customs, they just are perfect, my fav that I've played is probably the RG-EGYPT, but yours looks like its worth its weight in gold (bad pun)!! Beats the heck out of any "gold tob" LP, thats for sure!!
