Re: RG or JS?

Could you be more vague please??? Really, the rgs are 24 fret and the js' are 22, the rgs necks are flatter and the js' are more fender-like. outside of that you would have to specify what rg or js' you like.

Re: RG or JS?

They're very different guitars - if possible you should try and play a JS

A Japanese Prestige has better hardware and pickups than the Korean JS 100, an the JS100 neck is different to the Japanese JS's

Oh yeah, 2 frets difference too

Re: RG or JS?

A lot of it depends on your price range. There is a better chance of getting a nice Made In Japan RG for a lower price, and these will be better guitars (IMO) than a Korean JS100. But if you can score a used JS1000 then that goes out the window.

As perviously mentioned, the neck on the JS is more traditional (think Fender-ish) than a RG. That would be the largest difference between the two series of guitars, I think.

Re: RG or JS?

Here is a true and hard question to answer...
Well if it was me, i would for the JS, because i love the satriani sound...
Then again it all depends what kind of RG you are going to get...

RGs are awesome and i regret having sold mine a couple years ago...

But...i would go to the JS, i like them a lot!!!!
