RG lizard

ive seen one of these for sale on a sponsers site says that it MIUSA. any info on what the model is?

It was a mix and match of sorts available through Ibanez USA where you could pick and choose bits and make your own guitar.
Price list from '88 listing all the available options

In '91 Ibanez changed the headstock design to incorporate massive u.s.a. custom and Ibanez under it so this guitar was made before then.
Also this is a graysnake not a lizard.
If you ignore the finish this is an RG770 with a plain dot neck, all the parts were still made in Japan it was just assembled in the US.

Assembled in the US from Japanese parts, nothing Made in USA about them.

American basswood, made in Japan, assembled in the USA. Crazy Japanese people.

And any pickup rout past the single humbucker at the bridge was also done here, but MUSA, absolutely not.
