Re: RG model names, what do these three mean ?
It usually means something...
the 1st number used to mean (for the recent guitars) :
No first Number = not Prestige model (Korean)
1 Means Ibz PU's
2 Means Ibz/Dimarzio PU's
3 Means Dimarzio PU's
8 or 9 Is only for J custom models
The Second Number :
The higher this number is, better the finition is
The third Number :
2 means 2 PU's configuration (HH)
5 or 7 means 3 PU's configuration (HSH)
6 means 3 PU's configurations (HSS)
there maybe other combinations
The last number :
0 is Floyd
1 is hardtail
2 is standard Vibrato (?)
Then the letters :
You have some like
EX or LTD for the special editions
FM, QM, QS, BM for the woods ont the top
And then some letters for the color (like TRD which I suppose is Transparent RED)
