RG Style KIt made in China

Hi Again:

I found this browsing on the internet:

I would like your opinion guys.

It comes from China, so there is already a red flag in there. But on the other hand since it comes unassembled I think a luthier or someone with knowledge about it can control the final outcome.

Let me know if this is s good find or I should avoid it.

Personally, I wouldn't buy it. But there isn't a price, so if it's cheap, maybe I'd do it. But there's probably better stuff to spend your money on.

I'd personally steer clear of it......... They don't show a large pic of anything and even if the one in the pic was for real.... there's no guarantee that you'll get whats pictured.

Wasn't it Christopher Woods that used to sell premade kits like this? You choose what wood and parts you want but in the end you where the one who assembled it.

I try not to buy anything made in China, especially considering how much money the US owes them.

Also, you can't really expect too much out of the neck, and who knows how crappy the hardware will be. On the other hand, feel free to take the plunge and educate the rest of us about the quality.

Re: RG Style KIt made in China

It's pretty much the same kit i posted a thread about a few weeks ago. Go check out the opinions there. It's going to suck! At best, you get a body that may be usable. The neck will suck, and probably be warped. Unless you can get it for under$ 150 shipped just to check it out, I'd stay away.
