RG Van Halen Project Guitar

This started life as a very beat up RG350. I had no idea what I was going to do with it. I tried burning it for the hendrix loook. I tried using fabric on it. None of it looked any good. So in keeping with the beat up nature of EVH's Frankenstein guitar this is the result so far. The neck is in the shed halfway through a paint in the same style as the body. It has a maple board and a single EVO in the bridge. I am thinking of using a PAF Pro in the neck. I am not sure about the centre pick up as yet.

I am pretty happy with it. It is not meant to be a perfect work of art. It is meant to be rustic and I will add a few more wear marks as it nears completion. Stayed tuned for the neck placement and the full pick up installation.

Let me know what you guys think.

Re: RG Van Halen Project Guitar

You're missing the US .25c piece (quarter) under the tremolo.

Re: RG Van Halen Project Guitar

I think you should chop up the pickguard so it just covers the controls.
