RG1527 in Royal Blue?

I ordered an RG1527 from my local shop, and he just called me, asking if I wanted Cosmic Blue, or Royal Blue, ala RG421.

Apparently he got a call from the distributor (Hoshino USA) asking what color he wanted shipped, because he just put down RG1527, figuring that since it's only available, putting CB wasn't necessary.

Has anyone heard of an RB color addition?

I didn't know there was two colors. But you should definetely look into the Royal Blue, I would probably specify RB if you get the chance. Be sure to post pics if you do get it in RB.

We'll see what happens; he ordered it in RB, that'll be totally cool, provided that it wasn't just a weird mixup.

Wow, royal blue would be all right. The Comic blue as most all ready know is more very dark Orchid/purple. Depending on the light my 1527 looks black, really bright lights like flash or stage lights will bring out the dark purple. I was surprised when I first got it. It is however a cool color. But options are always good. Be sure to post some pictures of it when you get it.

Congrats Dude you're gonna love this machine!

Well I talked to my buddy today.

Good news: it's going to be coming in Royal Blue.

Bad news: As a 2005 model. If I want the Royal Blue, I gotta wait until probably Feb. til I can get one.

F that! I can't wait that long. Sorry gentlemen, someone else here will have to be the lucky guy to get the RB.

Oh. Mah. Gah. That neck is incredible. It's a much prettier guitar from the back than it is from the front.

I've been trying to decide between a UV777BK and a (current) 1527 but I might hold off to get the new 1527. The wait will be excruciating.

Re: RG1527 in Royal Blue?

I just got the current one. I really don't care that much about the neck, to be honest. The new one looks great, but as long as it's stable, it doesn't really matter to me.

Seeing as how I already have the RG421 in RB, having a different shade of blue (purple??) with the 1527 is nice.

I am still fighting with the trem; while I've gotten it set up, I still am not digging the floating feel, and may still block it.

Re: RG1527 in Royal Blue?

I just got a 1527 from guitar asylum. Cosmib blue. The main difference between thsi and the new 1527 is that the new 1527 for 2005 has no scarf joint. Color is one thing but you will be getting a better made neck.

The 1527 I bought was a great deal so I don't really care abotu the joint right now.I'll be using it as a template to make a custom 7 string anyway
