RG1550FM-RBT?any good?advise needed?

hi everybody

i am thinking about buying this guitar.
i am in japan.
But is it possible to convert it to two humbuckers by changing the pickguard?

also what duncan pu would you recommend?
love that maple fingerboard.

Yes, it is possible to convert it to 2 humbucker guitar by replacing the pick guard.

Iīve heard people praise Duncan TB-5 (Custom) in the bridge position.

seen it in the store. does not interest me, the gold hardware look horrendous. furthermore the shop here tend to overprice guitars with flame maple top. it is priced at the same price as an RG 2550EX-VBB. but at least my 2550 have dimarzio/ibz pickups. :P

same story with the 450 last time. the flame maple top version is priced US$250 more than the non-flame maple ones.
