RG2020X - Is it just me?

Or are these guitars of the highest quality build? I now own two RG2020x guitars... one red, one blue. Aside from having to switch the stock pickups, I can sing the praises of these guitars from dawn to dusk. I can't uderstand why Ibby would stop producing them, although I have to admit that I don't mind, as I don't like many people to have the same cool g uitars as me. But hey, the red finish is pretty rare, so there's some security for me.

Oh yeah. But, I thought that I had read in the guitar description that the neck is now a Prestige Wizard. Is that not true?

My necks are Prestige Ultras, not Wizards. Now, according to the website, the neck is listed as an Ultra. I can swear I remember reading somewhere that the 2120 changed to Wizard.

Not sure where you're looking but the factory has listed them as Wizard since they were introduced

Check Ibanez.com. The 2120 is listed as Ultra. Also, I remember reading a spec sheet somewhere for the 2020, and it stated that it was Ultra as well.

Never believe ibanez.com. It's listed as Wizard everywhere else

Well, the necks on these two guitars here are without question Ultras. They feel just a touch larger than my 777s, and just a touch smaller than my J-Custom RG1680, which has the JCM neck.

It doesn't matter what it feels like, it's always what the catalog says

It doesn't feel as thin as a 1550 for sure, but it's no ultra either. Probably more like a Wiz2, but for 5 years Ibanez has called it Wizard so who are we to argue?

You're going ot make me get out the measuring tape, I have a feeling. I'm willing to bet that it is in fact an Ultra, as even Ibanez is listing it as such on their website. I viewed your catalog page and I see that it is always listed as a Wizard, but I've owned 3120s and the neck was ridiculously thin. In fact, I owned my first 2020 at the same time as I owned 3120s, and the neck difference is night and day.

You are right though, great guitars. Everybody always raved about the 2027's but you don't hear anybody raving about the 20 [or 21] 20's. Same guitar, one less string. Even more the same this year with the 27's Vintage Violin finish
