rg2550 or rg350?

Hi yeah, this is my first post over here. Please pardon my english, kinda bad at it. Actually i never touch in guitar in my life before. Last year, i was greatly influenced by several players and i decided to start learning. Been working like a bull past few months, and finally had enough for myself to at least get a decent guitar that is good and can last.

I really like te design of rg350/2550, yeah the pickguard wise. I actually prefer 350dx cos of its sharktooth inlays. And now im deciding between these 2 models. I had already search around several forums, and seems tat both rg350 and rg2550 are both great guitars for the price u pay.

So which guitar do u guys recommend me? I guess most probably 2550? Is there any colours available other than black? Is rg350 really that inferior when compared to rg2550?

edited: actually im considering s470 and S2075FW as well.
anyone know how much does s2075fw cost?

Re: rg2550 or rg350?

well for beginner 350 is great deal cuz of cost

2550 is a great guitar, it's japanise = > much better quality!!! with 2550 u will have no problem with hardware and other stuff.

some people talk about problems with trem in 350. so if u got some extra money buy 2550.

this year 2550 is in galaxy black only.

From Rg2550 and Rg350 I would personaly take 2550. As Toto said, better quality, made in Japan.

From S470 and S2075, 2075 would be my choice. Better quality and looks awesome.

Re: rg2550 or rg350?

rg 2550 is all the way better , the pickups are better (marginally )the whole build is better . you will get a blue one if you shop around (old stock) as thats all we got here in aus . i always think if you have the cash get the best option that you can even if you are just a beginner, it pays off in the long run, you will one day say i want a rg2550 or a better model than the 350 so why not just buy the better one and even if you decide one day to stop playing your re sale will be better.

also not sure that you would get a case with the 350

2550 all the way

Re: rg2550 or rg350?

This is a no brainer.

If you're looking for a good guitar, always get a Japanese Ibanez. The build quality is on par (if not better) with American companies. If you like sharktooth inlays, get the 2570, but if you want a pickguard, get a 2550. The Dimarzios sound good, but not the best I've heard. This can easily be remedied with a simple pickup swap. One more plus: They both come with the nice J-Craft case.

Re: rg2550 or rg350?

If you can afford the 2550 then get the 2550. Not only will it be the superior instrument but it will have a better resale value if you ever decide to get something else. And if it's just the inlays of the 350 that you like, then just get the 2570 (which would be my personal choice if I wanted a guitar with a trem). I'm assuming that you do want a guitar with a floating trem since every guitar that you've listed has one. Also, I would imagine that the S2075 will cost you about the same as an RG25xx guitar.

Actually i will love pickguard more than the inlay. If there is better models out there with sharkfin inlay with pickguard i will defintly love that. And so far the only omdel i can find is rg550 which is discountinud, and i cant find any 2nd hand over my area or should i wait till 2006 for new guitars ? hmm . . btw i already been saving for 1 year, i guess it wun be too much for waiting another 2 months

Then, your best bet is to wait. Don't worry, time will fly by. Just occupy yourself by playing that six-string!

If you want sharkfin inlay, used RG770's are amazing.

I'm getting one myself, but I can't comment on anything because I'm waiting for the payment to clear. They look awesome, though (aargh, I just wish it had an AANJ )

Or if you want both pickguard and sharktooth inlay Rg 750 is excellent choice and if you find used one it won't cost too much.

Well, '03 450LTDs aren't bad at all. It's like a 550LTD, with an Edge Pro.
