RG2550E $699 at Musician's Friend

I just noticed this and was wondering, is this the normal price MF sells these for? If so it looks like a pretty nice deal. Maybe they're trying to clear out old stock, but even Guitar Center has it listed for $999.

Apparently you'll have to edit the link yourself or search for it on MF.

Re: RG2550E $699 at Musician's Friend

It was $999 up until this week when it dropped again. Apparently it was down to $699 before Christmas. There are other posts about these on here.

The RG2550E had been discontinued back in 2008 when it was replaced with the RG2550Z with the Edge Zero trem. The new RG2550Es are a special run exclusively for Musicians Friend, which I'm guessing is just a way for Ibanez to clear out some old parts inventory. They won't last long, so get it while you can.

Re: RG2550E $699 at Musician's Friend

MF has been selling these for awhile now. They had them for $699, then they went up to $999 for a little bit. I'm glad the price went down again, now I might actually get one.

What's cool about these guitars is it uses a zero type nut with the edge pro bridge.

Yeah, I like the barless nut on my 2550Z. It looks good, makes string changes easier.

With the Edge Pro and the 2550 models being discontinued entirely, these would be a great investment if you had the cash. I'm sure, when these are sold out, they'll sell for well over $700.
