RG2550E vs. RG2550EX pickguards

I was ordering a pickguard for my RG2550E-GK but Jeannie Pickguards has only got one for the RG2550EX. Now I'm clueless whether the two models share the same pickguard template and Jeannie is not sure either. Does anyone know if they are indeed different?

Thanks!

I have RG2550EX and as far as I know the only differences are inlays and bridge so pickguard should be the same.

Thanks rzul, can anybody confirm that the pickguard is exactly the same for the 2 models?

I think I'll take my chances and hope Ibanez didn't make changes to the pickguard mount between the 2 models

That's what I figured but when Jeannie's rep sounded doubtful, I had to ask this question.

Re: RG2550E vs. RG2550EX pickguards

Before I placed my order I searched for close-up pics of both models and the pickguards look the same

* Pic 1 taken from IbanezRules, and pic 2 from a webshots album.

Why didn't you just get the factory guard?

I do have it, but I'm planning to remove the mid pickup so I needed a new pickguard.
