rg2570 vs rg3570

Can someone tell me what the differences are between the RG2570 and RG3570? I have the chance to trade in a RG2570 for a RG3570 so I want to know if it is an even deal.

thanks!

I believe the 3570 has real dimarzios in it, the 2570 came with the dimarzio/ibz

However I think the RG3570 has the Edge Zero trem. which i dont really like. and I believe you have a 2570e right? I heard Ibanez is over sotcked on Edge Zero and trying to get rid of them asap, so they can go back to their old floyd design

I don't understand why everyone is down on the edge zero's. It performes the same as my flyd with the stop bar out and it's easy to remove.
Am I missing something? was there a quality issue?

i agree, I don't get it. it's an easy mod, and for someone like me who doesn't use the trem a lot the zps is great.

to the op, if you want a Tone Zone, True Velvet and Air Norton in your guitar, get the 3570. if you want some other kinds of pickups, stick with the 2570 and replace the pups. the neck on the 3570 is slightly thinner. i don't think there are any other differences other than cosmetic.

You sure about that? I find that hard to believe since they just released the Zero 2. I love how easy it is to do perfect double stops, they better be sticking with it.

I also wanted to add that depending on how old your 2570 is (2006 or older I believe), the 3570 might be 2mm wider at the last fret. I like the extra width, my high e doesn't slip off the fretboard as much.

I believe the Ibanez website says that all the necks on the rg3000+ have titatium reinforcement rods???

Both have Edge Zero so this rather does not count for difference.

And honestly - I do not believe Ibanez is tryging to get rid of these bridges. It would mean that they intend to discard a mechanism that (i) has taken a lot of effort and money to develop; (ii) works well - and this does not make too much sense from business perspective.

As regards the merits - the key differences between the axes are the pickups and neck, although I do not thing the latter would make a huge difference in playing.

BTW - I know this is the matter of tase, but I would never go for a guitar with something yellow on it

Apparently you have not seen HOW MANY tremelo units Ibanez has put out to pasture in the last 25 years.....lol. Not to mention the disappearance of the Lo-Pro which was a better trem than the EZ.

and not to be argumentative, but the neck would be my FIRST consideration.

Also...the RG2570E had a Edge-Pro in it not a Zero....... sorry, now I know I'm being argumentative.....lol

And? Is Ibanez getting rid of EZ or not?

And? Was the question about RG2570 or 2570E? And where do I go wrong by saying that 2570 and 3570 have EZ?

Re: rg2570 vs rg3570

your right that the 2570 has an EZ in it, but DanLee mentioned that the OP has a 2570E, I can only assume that he knows the OP personally.

I have no Idea if they're phasing out the EZ, however if the past is any indicator of what Ibanez might do, I would not be surprised to see it discontinued. THAT was my point....... sensible business or not.

The part about the neck was My opinion only. I have no need to tell you or others what to look for in their guitars

BTW.... my whole post was made in light.... just incase you didn't pick it up the first time...

Peace.

P.S. I was not asking about your personal preferences, but whether Wizard and SWizard are indeed that different. IMO not.

That's cool.... I respect your thoughts, I just think that the difference's in width (from the pre-06's) and the thickness' being different makes a big impact for the average player. Some players can switch effortlessly from a Les Paul to a Jaguar to a Wizard. I'm guessing that your one of them.... I only wish I was.

Am I sensing some weight again or is it getting late in my hometown?

Sure we could talk about pre-06 - if 3570 existed back then.

Even if they did it would not change much as Wizard prestige 2005 neck has the same width as SWizard and is just 1 mm thicker.

I'm afraid I would indeed switch effortlessly. No wonder - I'm one of them.

lol and goodnight
