rg2570exvsl

bought one today, will be here sometime this week? how are they and does anyone have the emg 81/85 set in one, this one is coming with it. How does it sound

I don't have that set of EMGs in an Ibanez but I have it in two of my other guitars, a BC Rich Warlock and a Schecter Hellraiser. I really like them in both guitars. They are a little clearer and brighter in the Warlock. They do sound a little "sterile" like so many people say about them. They work really well with overdrive and distortion but not so good on clean tones. Not horrible, just kind of blah. I'm thinking on trying a set of Dimarzio D-Activators in my new RG1570. Depending on what style you play the EMGs might suit you just fine.
