RG2770VV any info on this Ibanez?

Hi Guys/Gals, I've compulsively bought RG2770VV.

All I know this guitar is for Japanese market and not much more .

Can you please direct me to some info? Ibanez wiki had only info on RG2770Z

Thanks!

Re: RG2770VV any info on this Ibanez?

ok this is what I've found
the info is very scarce not sure how to look on Japanese sites. I assume this is Prestige model for Japan

25.5 scale
mahogany body
dimarzio pickups made for Ibanez

not sure how is neck compared to RG750 - probably best neck I've ever played.

this is where the big difference, the neck on 2770 is wider and fatter than the neck on your 750.

mahogany body did not really bother me, if I'm comparing to the 750.
but the neck..?, yes it does....

Re: RG2770VV any info on this Ibanez?

I have an '04 2770 in trans-blue. I don't know the exact dimensions of any of the Ibanez necks, but... holding it in my hands, in terms of size, it feels like it's something between my RG770DX's and my Jem7VSBL's neck. My 2770 has been my #1 go-to guitar for about ten years now.

I envy the Japanese guitarist. I've imported two guitars and they are the two best guitars I have ever played. Yours looks a great axe! Enjoy it

Thank you Craig,

This is kind of strange why Japan would not export all the models. US manufactures sell all-around as long as you are ready to buy.

I guess that's just cultural.

It would be nice to have access to all the Japanese models, but at the same time I like the exclusivity created by Japan having a unique market. It's nice having an unusual guitar.

just a quick update. It feels I'm liking the neck of 2770 more and more VS RG750
