RG3120 or an RGT3120? Tone differences?

Hey guys....I have an oppritunity to snag either a RG3120 Deep Red or a RGT3120 Brown for low to mid $700s.

I currently own a RG2020xtb which has been my staple tone for about 6 years. I love how deep it sounds. The sustain is killer. Warm tone.

I was wondering which to get? I really like the looks of the RGT, and the neck thru is tempting. Not so hot on the chrome knobs though. I know it has PAFs in it too where the RG3120 has ToneZone/PAF.

Both are in excellent shape. Is it true though that the RGT is brighter sounding cuz the pickups, and the fact they are direct mounted to the maple strip?

Thanks for the help....

if you like the RGT and like the sound of it i think you should go for it.. Knobs arent such a big issue, right??

Ive tried the RG3120 serveral times and its killer, love everything about it but the RGT is somewhat different.. obviously..

Ill recommend both, just to contribute with nothing to you!
