Exclamation Rg320 Help!

Hi,
I recently bought an Ibanez RG320 FM and it is a fantastic playing guitar. The edge 3 actually goes out of tune a lot. thought it was fixed, but wasn't, also the last two strings(Low E and A) go out of tune the most ast they can be tuned from the normal tuners. the problem is that I can still tune the guitar from the normal tuners even with the locks tightened. this only happens on the two strings. the guitar still goes out of tune. How can I fix both these problems?

Thanks,
William

It sounds like either the lock nut is stripped or the pressure pad has too deep of channels dug into it from pressure on the strings. inspect the entire nut to find out what pieces you need....posssiby the whole thing.

Re: Rg320 Help!

Def sounds like a locking nut issue.

If the strings are slipping in the nut (which they obviously are) the guitar will always go out of tune, especially when using the trem. I suspect that the bolts that hold the nut onto the neck (from behind) are also loose. You'll want to check those as soon as you can. Tighten them enough to be firmly secure, but don't over-tighten. That's how people get the infamous nut joint cracks in their necks.

Inspect every part of the nut, then get back to us with the results. We'll be able to help you further when we know the situation a little better.

Re: Rg320 Help!

ok here's a quick video showing the problems it has /watch?v=BF2ZAGLk_wc I can't put the video link because I don't have enough posts in, but go to youtube and add this after the youtube.com.

If that doesn't work, go to youtube find my channel called yoyokidify and look for the video called jemsite rg320 help on the channel.

thanks,
William
