Re: RG331

Love it and congrats!
My first Ibanez RG 760 was the same color and pick guard. I regretfully sold it many years ago and recently been looking one again.

Got mine 2 days ago. Fantastic no-frills player. I seldom play a mid single coil these days so the HH combo is great. Maple fretboard- thank you for the variety.

Re: RG331

I'm getting one as well, I'm already thinking about changing something:
1. Pickguard: since it is a HH, anybody has suggestions where to find a good replacement?
2. Tuners: i'm used to floating bridges, so I have no idea what those stock tuners can do in terms of staying in tune, any suggestions here?

(LOVING the color, after this one i'll look into a DY, another love of mine)

Re: RG331

Thanks for the link, I was looking for info all over google but that link didn't pop up.
Quite useful piece of info.

I'm not surprised though, that they have the HSH routing beneath it, most probably for economies of scale. I would have preferred not to have that sort of routing, but it's so cheap I don't really care.
because it has a HSH hole beneath it, the classic rg550 pickguard will fit it? anybody knows if they have the same holes for the screws?

Re: RG331

Just want to say these are cool looking and I wish we'd get them in the US.

Something looks off about the pick guard/bridge, though. It could just be that I'm used to seeing floating trems with pick guards, and fixed bridges with no pick guards (like the RG471).

Anyway, cool guitar. Feel free to post pics!

I thought the same the first time i saw it, i guess we're just too used to RG with trem bridges and that body seems now too 'long' for that skinny bridge...
