Re: rg350dx

I have a 350dx and put a evo in the neck and bridge and an HS3 in the middle and I think it sounds good. I also swapped out the bridge for a original floyd and I think it make for a better guitar.

Re: rg350dx

I have a strat with Hs3/YJM/YJM and HATE the cleans, but, it does rock distorted.
also used to have Breed/YJM/breed n that didn't work at all cleanly either the volume difference is horrid

Re: rg350dx

i got a RG350, although it's not modded in any way it is a nice guitar, has a good feel and produces a nice sound, the neck is quite thick as in this shape 'D' compared to a Jem, but that's not a bad thing just dont expect a thin neck (in case your ordering blind over the net) if thats the case I could pm you a good deal price wise which is where I got mine in December, I paid £267 + £20 p+p. And it came very quick.

Re: rg350dx

I would say play one first. I bought one off the bay last year and it was the worst feeling guitar I have ever played. I swore I would never touch a Korean made Ibanez ever again.

Although I have come to learn on these forums that alot of people actually like them so I guess mine was just a dud.

Re: rg350dx

I think if your used to Jems and other top end guitars then try a more budget model there's always going to be that 'eughh' factor. Where as building up to an RG350 or whatever feels great, then when you do that again with a Jem it's that 'whooa' factor all over again. But I still think it's a great guitar and at the price it beats most guitars

Re: rg350dx

RG350 and RG370 are all great guitars for their price range. Changing pups will do them even greater justice...

Re: rg350dx

I mentioned in another thread that I have just bought an RG350DX. Although I was very pleased with the factory settings, I sent it to a professional guitar maker & had a fret level & crown plus had the nut lowered. From being a great guitar to play, it is a quite stunning guitar to play now.
I am also tinkering with the idea of new pickups & am open to suggestion on what to buy. I like a bluesy tone but also love plenty of gain when I`m feeling a little saucy!!!

Re: rg350dx

Well....its a tuff call....I wouldnt say its worth it considering it has a crappy trem. You could always replace the existing trem with an Original Floyd.
