Re: Rg350dx Good Or Bad?
The RG350DX is a decent guitar, I guess. Personally, if you're not going to use the trem then I would go for a 2005 RG321 with a mahogany body. Now that's a SWEET GUITAR for a hell of a price. Also, believe me when I tell you that you will most certainly REGRET buying a guitar with a trem if you don't ever use it. They are a bitch to keep set up properly. You also can't easily change the tuning on it, so you'll pretty much have to leave that alone. I have an RG370DX and it's a badass shredding machine with the EMGs I put in it. But I only use the guitar for standard tuning and I just wanted ONE guitar with a floating bridge....just one.
I will say that my next guitar will probably be an RG321, though. I've played several of them and you can really tell the difference between mahogany and basswood as far as the tone goes. Plus, with the simplicity of dual humbuckers you can explore all sorts of coil splitting options via the 5 way switch. I so wanna get my hands on one and throw in a Tone Zone/Air Norton combo and wire it up with like 3 coil splitting options. What fun!!!
