RG421 - Anyone have one yet? - Looking for reviews please .

Hey jemsiters! *Anyone here get their mits on an RG421 yet? *If so, what do you think? *I assume most folks here would probably look to swap out the pickups . . . I'm also interested in reviews on how it sounds with Dimarzios (or any other after-market pups for that matter)!

Thanks gang *

I don't think Britain are going to get them and if we do it'll not be until sometime next year.

I quite fancy one since I think they'll be cheap'er than 400

Swap out the pups to tonezones take out the tone pot and put a bridge humbucker over-ride switch and it would be cool.

When I first learned of this axe, I was pretty excited about the specs. *I've found one for a little as $425 (without case) which seems like a great buy. *

Like you said Pablo; some electronics mods (new pickups, etc.) and you've got yourself a helluva guitar *

They're pretty new here in the states too. *I haven't been able to find any user reviews of this model anywhere! *How 'bout it guys . . . anyone . . . Bueller . . . Bueller . . .

I really want to get one too. I had a really cheap source for one, that fell through big time.

So now I have to pay full price like everyone else!

I plan on putting Dimarzio TZ and AN pups in it.

here's the new japanese version of a hardtail rg. all specs, except those listed, are the same as the rg421.

the rg621:http://www.ibanez.co.jp/japan/el_gui..._rx/rg621.html
mahogany body
direct mount PU's/different PU's
3 way toggle switch
no tone knob
black hardware
black inlays(why in hell?)
1 piece maple wizard neck/no binding
only available in black

i'd have to say i'd rather have the '421 than the '621. that is except for the mahog body, direct mount PU's, and 1 piece wizard maple neck

The 621 looks damn sweet! *I'd rather have the mahogany body and direct-mounted pups too, but I'll stick with the bound Wizard II neck *

To each his own. *One thing is for sure, the Japanese Ibanez market blows ours away! *There are a lot of models only sold in Japan that I really wish we could get over here (without going through the hassle of importing). *C'est la vie!

Has anyone played the 421 yet???

I like the 621, that's pretty cool.
I still haven't found a place that has the 421. I really want to try it.

The Japanese market is way cooler, as far as what they have in comparison to us. Oh well, there's always Ishibashi.
