RG450AH from Ibanez Japan

Anybody have experience with this model? It almost looks like a Jem to me, just a few alterations and it could be a mock Jem in no time. Even if I didn't try to mess with the guitar's appearance, would this one be a good quality Ibanez? Especially after the LO-TRS goes for a LO-PRO?

i've got, among many Japaneses, an Indonesian RG270 which i swapped the TRS for a Lo-Pro instead.
nothing bad, really... nothing bad.
you just gotta swap the pick-ups too, if you want a really good tone, even if cheapy Ibanez stocks aren't that crappy, though, especially for the price (i paid $300 brand-new).
even the neck ain't that bad: well crafted, fast, solid and well dressed frets and no weather/humidity problems at all.

I have one. It was released here in the UK in 2000 for a brief run but mine was a very dark purple colour rather than royal blue.

It's a very good guitar for the price. It is made in Japan so the quality is spot on. The pickups are better than I expected but what I would recommend the most is the trem. It is a TRS101 rather than a Lo-TRS II. Mostly the same components but the trem arm is more like a strats in that it is threaded and screws into the block. The result is that the trem is a lot more user friendly and responsive as the arm doesn't travel around in it's socket ala the Lo-TRS II.

Ultimately it depends on the amount you want to spend. All I can say is that I do love mine as it was my first ibanez.
