RG548 - Worth the buy or not?

Well, I found an RG 548 for 387 euros.

is it worth the buy?

It's in an immaculate state, having serial number F625990.

Thanks all

If you can afford it, and want it, buy it!

Re: RG548 - Worth the buy or not?

I would say it is worth it. That model was only produced for two years, and not available worldwide - maybe Europe only (not 100% sure on that one). It's basicly the same as a 550 but with ash body and a different neck.

Don't buy it if you want to sell it fast for some easy money, but buy it if you like it and want to play it. It is uncommon. Maybe you will be able to talk it down a little in price, but I don't think it's bad at all. That said, haven't seen a 548 for sale in a long time.

I don't know your local market, and the prices in general. If it's in good condition and others are interested, you might lose out if you give him a too low offer. If it's been around for some time you got better chances at lowering the price. Just make sure it's the real deal.

soooo, here's the guitar. It's a 96 model, at least that's what the serial says.

it's a guitar from a person I know, so no ebay offers or anything. Is it wise to ask for 350 or less? Case isn't included.

No harm in trying.

[Although I must say, if this guy is selling a guitar because he need the money for important stuff (family), then what will a few € matter for you if you can survive fine with a little less money? Next time you might be the seller and he the buyer. And no, I do not know the seller. ]

Re: RG548 - Worth the buy or not?

If the 548 is truly "immaculate", I think 387euros ($511 USD) is more than fair. I would certainly buy it.
