RG570 Complete Refinish

We think this is a Japan RG570. I completely refinished the whole guitar.
New Suhr Aldrich Humbuckers, Area 51 DiMarzio Single Coil in the middle.
Fret Dress, Setup. Plays like butter, screams tone.

I call it Amber Cinnamon Burst.

Re: RG570 Complete Refinish

thats stunning! have you put a veneer on it, or is that just an effect from the painting/staining??

how do you find the suhr aldrich humbuckers in there? just curious since they were/are designed for his les pauls?!

Wow--very nice!
I'm with Ricky--is that a veneer? She's gorgeous!

Re: RG570 Complete Refinish

I have to think it was originally a 570FM. Veneer or not, that's a mahogany body

Re: RG570 Complete Refinish

Cool color!

When people finish the headstock like that, how do they keep the Ibanez logo on there?

They don't. They replace it with a decal. If you look closely, you'll notice that the logo doesn't line up exactly like a stock model--on this one, it's really close. The very tip to the swoosh (check) above the "I" should line up just near the right side of the A-string tuning peg.

Re: RG570 Complete Refinish

Great job. Very tasteful and classy. Which colour best represents what it looks like in the flesh, the pics of the unassembled body or the pics of the guitar complete?

No Veneer. Just the effect from staining.
